When Stampin’ Up moved to their new product packaging in 2026, I was actually quite disappointed because I already had a filing system for my sets and the new packaging represented a challenge in incorporating the new with the old.
To explain further, I purchased inexpensive pull-out file-drawer type plastic bins and store my collection of Stampin’ Up Stamps and Dies alphabetically (image to the left). When Stampin’ Up moved to the new packaging in 2026, my alphabetical storage of the new packaging was challenged because I no longer had a “spine” with the name of the set on it! Sometime ago, I purchased the now retired Stampin’ Up stamp/die set Keeping Tabs #163533/#163539 and decided to put it to good use by creating tabs that are taped to the new packaging! Now I can file the new packaging right in with the previous packaging.
For stamp/die sets combinations, the new packaging is study enough to include the dies in with the stamps like I did with the old packaging. The new slimline packaging actually allows me to incorporate many more new sets easily in my current filing system because they take up so little space. So now that I have figured out how to include the new packaging in my regular filing system, I’m happy with Stampin’ Up’s transition to the new packaging.
I do keep track of all my sets using an excel spreadsheet which also includes pictures of all the Stamp/Die sets contents. This allows me to easily search and find the appropriate sets when I am working on a project.
