Creating Shaker Cards

I created this balloon card with the Beautiful Balloons bundle by Stampin’ Up. The original idea for this card was inspired by Elaine’s Creations YouTube video. Using the large triple balloon die in the bundle, I cut the center out from designer series paper that I mounted on card stock sized to 4 by 5- 1/4″. Card size is 8-1/2″ by 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″. I used a Foam Adhesive Strip to outline the back of the cutout and raise it up from the card base. I did not have any “shaker pieces” to put inside the plastic designer series paper to create a shaker card, so I used my excess embellishment dots. In order to use the excess embellishment dots, I had to stick the embellishment dots to scrap card stock and then remove the dots to remove the glue first. With the glue on the back of each dot removed, I was able to use those for the shaker pieces in the window. Using my excess embellishment dots as shaker pieces turned out to be very effective! I definitely will do that again.
